Early To Bed, Early To Rise

My morning starts early, I mean very early. I’m up by 4:15 a.m. every weekday. In order to get up early, I’m in bed no later than 9:00 p.m. Weekdays are chaotic because we spend so much time at work or traveling to and from work. Therefore, I do a lot of prepping to make it easier. If I don’t make time to do so I eat unhealthy, I sleep less, and I’m running late trying to do it last minute.

One of the most important meals I prep is breakfast. It gives me something to calm my growling stomach after a workout and fuels me for the upcoming day. So here is a list of some of my favorite breakfasts when I’m training for a race. Honestly, I eat this all the time because it’s so good:

French Toast Overnight Oats by Smart Little Cookie

Egg Muffin Cups by Together As Family

Coconut Kale Smoothie posted on Thechalkboardmag and taken from the book “Eat Fast, Run Slow.”
If there is one book I could recommend, this would be it! You can buy it on Amazon by clicking here

So what do you love to eat for breakfast after a good workout or run? I would love to hear your thoughts or suggestions!

Also, don’t forget to donate to St. Jude Children’s Hospital for my upcoming San Diego Rock N Roll Marathon June 3rd. You can get to my fundraiser page by clicking here. Not only will you get a tax write off next year, but you will be helping to find a cure for childhood cancer.
